PTA May: Examples of Introductions -- 紹介する例

In English speaking cultures, we often introduce each other. So I thought I'd prepare an example of introducing someone else.
英語の文化環境にしては、自分ではなく、仲間の一人を更に三人者に、紹介してあげることがよくあります。したがって、人を紹介してあげることにします。

Andy: Hey, Jamie, how's it going?

Jamie: Hi, Andy! Going great. How about you?

Andy: Not bad. Who's your friend?

Jamie: Oh. Yeah.
 Andy Wentwhistle, meet Jan Vanderwinkle.
 He's my cousin.

Andy: Nice to meet you.

Jan: Likewise.
 And who are you with?

Andy: This is Spencer Cousins.
 She is not my cousin.

Spencer: Hi. I'm Andy's aunt.

Let's translate that:
通訳しましょう。

 

Andy: Hey, Jamie, how's it going?

や！ジェーミー、調子どう？

Jamie: Hi, Andy! Going great. How about you?

や！アンディー！絶好調！どう？元気？

Andy: Not bad. Who's your friend?

まあまあ悪くないよ。お友達は？

Jamie: Oh, yeah. Andy Wentwhistle, meet Jan Vanderwinkle.

はい。アンディー・ウェントホイッスルよ。ヤン・ヴァンデァウインクルです。
He's my cousin.
従兄弟です。

Andy: Nice to meet you.

会えて嬉しい。

Jan: Likewise.

こちらこそ。
And who are you with?

Andy: This is Spencer Cousins.

こちらはスペンサー・カゼィンズです。
She is not my cousin.
私の従姉妹ではありません。

Spencer: Hi.

や！アンディーの叔母です。
